Amethyst, by Lauren Royal. Jewel Trilogy #1
Finished Amethyst by Lauren Royal. Very sweet book! Simple, but the plot isn't boring, at all. I liked it! In fact, I liked it enough to pick up Emerald (which I'm reading, right now) and Amber the subsequent books in the series. While the plots are pretty simple, the characters are wonderful! Very animated, enjoyable, unique, and well-written! Rumor has it that Amethyst was Ms Royal's very first book, and what an incredible first book!
In an interesting note, Lauren Royal recently left her publisher and went to self-publishing! In fact, she has re-released a number of her books with previously unseen material that didn't make it through the Publisher's "OKAY". Now that she's an Indie Writer, she's put 'em back in! Yay for us!
And a marvelous thing to note for self-publishing authors! Another good story!
